Come join us deep within Denali National Park. Our remote lodge, located at the end of the 95 mile Park Road in Kantishna, offers you a complete Denali Park vacation experience -- and surprising comfort. Most park visitors limit their visit and stay near the developed and crowded park entrance. The more adventurous take one of the grandest drives on earth and stay inside the park. Winding through the Alaska Range, deep into the heart of the park, the "Park Road" offers opportunities to see Denali's famed wildlife: Grizzlies, Caribou, Moose, Dall Sheep, Wolves, and Eagles. And, should the weather smile on you, above all of it towers Mt. McKinley (Denali) itself, the highest point in North America (20,320 feet). At the very end of the Denali Park road, past Wonder Lake, you'll find a unique enclave in the park known as Kantishna. This area is home to Denali Backcountry Lodge.

Alaska Wildland Adventures operates the majority of our trips out of our own Alaska wilderness lodges. Some of these lodges offer stand-alone packages and some are Alaska lodging accommodations offered as part of our All-Inclusive Trips, Adventure Packages and Alaska Salmon Fishing Trips. Ownership of our own fishing and wilderness lodges gives us an uncommon advantage in assuring quality throughout your trip with us. Our Alaskan lodging choices are strategically located to provide an excellent base for classic Alaskan adventures and activities. They are located right on the Kenai River and are surrounded by or are adjacent to some of Alaska's prime protected areas. All of our lodges are uniquely Alaskan. On many Alaskan adventure vacations and fishing trips, your Alaska lodging or hotel might look much the same from another so that if you woke up in the middle of the night, you might not know whether you were in Anchorage or Albuquerque or Albany! When we designed our Alaska lodges, we kept two things in mind: comfort and a classic Alaskan experience. So on our trips, you can be assured of plenty of adventure, authentic Alaskan ambience and a commensurate degree of comfort. And our top Alaska fishing guides are never too far away.

Fish for trophy catches of King, Sockeye, or Silver Salmon, plus Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden, and Halibut (depending upon the timing of your arrival) over the course of two to seven days.

In the 6.2 million acres of Denali National Park, buses traverse the 90-mile road daily; allowing people to hike, view wildlife, climb and camp. Glacier Bay National Park is 3.2 million acres of incredible wildlife and scenery and offers some of the most dramatic sea kayaking in the world. ARAMARK/Huna Totem offers free kayak drop offs to employees as well as a small fleet of sea kayaks available free to employees. You can also enjoy the towns and wilderness areas throughout the state by fishing, kayaking, biking, hiking and more! At Denali you can see the seasons progress in rapid succession. In the spring approximately 152 species of birds migrate to the park to breed and nest in the arctic tundra. These birds join the 37 species of mammals and an incredible array of flowering plants to add motion and color to the landscape. The midnight sun of summer is followed by the glorious color of autumn and the spectacular northern lights signal a swiftly approaching winter season. The park is especially suited for climbing and hiking with terrain ranging from gentle slopes to the rugged peaks of the Alaska Range. It is also a place in which to experience the wilderness, to capture its many moods on film, to hear its story told by those who love it, and to create memories of a visit to this magnificent land.
